New Delhi: Those who want to pursue a government job with the state or central government, they may have to work with the armed forces for five years to complete the shortage of troops. There is a shortage of more than 20,000 soldiers in the army
There is a shortage of more than 7,000 officers and more than twenty thousand people in the Indian Army. Similarly, there are more than 150 officers in the Indian Air Force and more than 15,000 soldiers. In the Indian Navy, there is a shortage of around 150 officers and around 15,000 people.
– Railway has more than 30 lakh employees in central jobs, while more than 2 crore people are employed in the state governments. As a result, the employee and training department is planning to mandate a military service for the people who want government jobs in the coming days.
The parliamentary committee submitted report in Parliament about the shortage of personnel
– The proposal of compulsory military service for future government employees has been forwarded by the Defense Ministry as an emergency step to fill the shortage of armed forces. It is worth mentioning that Parliamentary Standing Committee has also recommended this proposal.
– The Committee has recommended five years’ compulsory military service for people who are directly involved in the central and state government’s gazetted officers. The committee is aware of the fact that the number of officers and troopers in the armed forces is very low, which is very important to be filled. – The Parliamentary Committee has asked the Ministry of Defense to work with the employee and training department in this matter. However, the Defense Ministry did not show such seriousness before this matter
