New Delhi: Government is preparing to give great publicity to government employees. Since last few days, the demands of the Seventh Pay Commission's recommendations are being sought from the employees. Media reports are being claimed that now the government employees will get this good news in April. Media reports are being claimed that the minimum pay scale of Central Government employees will be increased by Rs 3,000. That is, instead of Rs 18,000, now the minimum basic pay is Rs 21,000.
Steps taken in view of elections
The government is taking this step in view of the Lok Sabha elections scheduled next year. This is the reason that the government has been trying to please lakhs of employees and their families by applying the recommendations of the Seventh Pay Commission. About 3,000 rupees in basic pay, government employees believe that there will be no change in their financial condition. Government employees are demanding increasing the minimum salary to 26,000 rupees per month.
It is noteworthy that on July 6, 2017, the Central Government printed the recommendations of the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) in the gazette. In which it was recommended that according to the Seventh Pay Commission, the salary of the Central employees can increase from 7 thousand to 18 thousand rupees every month. Salary of workers receiving salary of 1 to 5 from matrix level can be increased. Their minimum salary can be increased from Rs 18000 to Rs 21 thousand.
At the same time, the fitment factor can also be increased from 2.57 times to 3 times. Employees can get the benefit from April 1, 2018. However, central workers are demanding that their minimum salary be increased to Rs 26,000 instead of raising Rs 18,000 per month. Apart from this, the fitment factor is also increased from 2.57 times to 3.68 times.
Low level employees will benefit
An official told the newspaper that Finance Minister Arun Jaitley would prefer to choose low-level employees instead of salary increase for mid-level employees. Apart from this, the report says that the wider middle-level employees will not see much increase, because, considering the long-standing trend of income polarization and shrinking central levels in central government departments, it seems.
